National Art Honor Society 2014-2015
The National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is designed specifically for high school students in grades 9-12. In 1978, the National Art Education Association began the National Art Honor Society program to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art. The NAHS strives to aid members in attaining the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.
At Tri- Cities High School, the NAHS Chapter is focused on creating art advocacy among students, faculty, and staff. We have plans to do art murals, art fundraisers, and art related volunteer projects throughout the year. Students must maintain a B average in order to maintain good standing in the organization and attend at least 85% of all weekly meetings. Students should have a passion for art and creating art awareness in their school and community.
